Privacy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Aviation Display Days was built around a simple idea: you should be able to find aviation events without being turned into a product.
Nothing taken. Nothing sold.
That does not mean AviationDisplayDays.com processes no information at all. Websites need certain information to deliver pages, protect against abuse, process information you choose to submit, provide services you request, and allow authorized people to manage listings.
What it means is simpler: we do not sell your personal information, we do not build advertising profiles from your browsing, and we do not add advertising trackers to follow you around the internet.
This page explains what Aviation Display Days does—and does not do—with information.
What We Don't Do
Aviation Display Days does not:
- Sell personal information.
- Use third-party advertising networks.
- Build advertising or browsing-interest profiles about visitors.
- Add advertising trackers to follow visitors across websites.
- Use GPS or browser geolocation to choose your Discovery Region.
- Make private Event operational contact information public by default.
- Require an account simply to browse public aviation listings.
Privacy and the Aviation Display Days Philosophy
Nothing taken. Nothing sold.
For Aviation Display Days, that means we do not treat visitor information as a product.
We process the information necessary to deliver and protect the site, provide services you request, authenticate authorized users, review and maintain aviation information, and preserve appropriate operational and historical records.
We try to keep those purposes narrow, understandable, and separate from advertising or behavioral profiling.
When outside services necessarily process information to provide infrastructure or functionality, we describe the type of processing that matters to visitors without turning this policy into a vendor directory.
When our practices change in a way that matters to your privacy, this page will be updated.
Browsing AviationDisplayDays.com
You can browse public Aviation Display Days listings without creating an account.
Aviation Display Days does not maintain a personal browsing-history profile about public visitors. We do not use your browsing activity to build advertising or interest profiles.
Like any website, requests to AviationDisplayDays.com necessarily pass through the infrastructure that delivers and protects the site. Information such as your IP address, browser information, and request information may therefore be processed by our hosting and security services as part of delivering pages, preventing abuse, and protecting the service.
Advertising and Sale of Personal Information
Aviation Display Days does not use third-party advertising networks.
We do not sell personal information.
Featured Events, Partner benefits, Contributor links, and similar Aviation Display Days features are part of the site's own presentation and support model. They are not third-party behavioral advertising and do not cause us to sell visitor information to advertisers or data brokers.
Cookies and Security
Aviation Display Days does not use advertising or analytics cookies to track ordinary visitors.
The infrastructure and security services protecting AviationDisplayDays.com may use browser signals and essential security cookies when necessary to protect the site from abuse or automated traffic.
Authorized management areas also use an essential secure session cookie after a successful login. That cookie is used to maintain the authenticated management session, not for advertising or visitor profiling.
Your Region Preference
Aviation Display Days can remember a Discovery Region on your device if you explicitly select Remember my Region on this device.
That preference is stored in your browser's local storage. It is not stored in an Aviation Display Days account, does not use a cookie, and is not based on GPS or browser geolocation.
Aviation Display Days does not use your location to automatically determine your Region.
You can remove the saved preference by turning the option off or clearing the site's local browser storage. A Region explicitly selected in a page URL takes precedence over a remembered preference.
A remembered browsing Region is separate from any Regions you may choose for email reminders.
Information You Choose to Submit
If you submit information about an Event, Profile, Contribution, Issue Report, or other aviation listing, Aviation Display Days processes the information needed to review, maintain, verify, and, when appropriate, publish that information.
Information intended for publication—such as Event details, public Profile information, photographs, captions, credits, websites, and other public listing content—may be visible to anyone.
Private operational information is handled separately.
Event Contact Information
Event forms may ask:
Who can we contact about this Event?
That person is not necessarily the person submitting the form.
This information is maintained as private Event operational information so Aviation Display Days and appropriately authorized listing managers can contact someone knowledgeable about the Event for future verification, corrections, cancellations, schedule changes, or other Event-related administration.
It is not displayed publicly merely because it was provided as an Event contact.
Because that information has an ongoing Event-administration purpose, it may be retained with the Event for as long as it remains useful for administration of that Event. It may be updated when the appropriate Event contact changes.
Profile and Management Access
Owners, Editors, Creator operators, delegated Creator Editors, Event Managers, and other authorized users may provide an email address to access management features.
Access email addresses are separate from public Profile contact information and Event operational contacts.
Aviation Display Days uses this information to authenticate authorized users, send one-time access codes, maintain scoped permissions, and protect management functions.
Authentication and security records may include a stable internal identifier, authorization grants, one-time-code records, session records, rate-limit information, and administrative audit history.
Security credentials such as one-time codes and session tokens are stored using protected digest or keyed representations where applicable. Some administrative and authority history is intentionally retained so Aviation Display Days can preserve provenance, security history, and accountability even after access changes or is revoked.
Security and Abuse Prevention
Aviation Display Days uses security and abuse-prevention measures to protect forms, authentication, and administrative functions.
Our verification and security services may process network and browser information, including an available request IP address, when checking certain submissions for abuse or automated activity.
Aviation Display Days does not store the raw request IP address as part of an Issue Report record. We may retain a keyed, non-plaintext value derived from request information for limited purposes such as rate limiting, abuse prevention, and duplicate-submission protection.
These security mechanisms are not used by Aviation Display Days to build advertising or browsing-interest profiles.
Issue Reports
Issue Reports can be submitted without providing contact information.
If you choose to permit follow-up and provide contact information, Aviation Display Days uses it to communicate about the reported issue.
Authorized listing managers may receive information needed to investigate an Issue Report, but separate reporter-contact fields are not made public merely because an Issue Report was submitted.
Please avoid placing unnecessary personal information in free-text report descriptions.
Email Reminders
Email reminders are optional.
If you subscribe, Aviation Display Days stores the email address and reminder preferences necessary to provide the service, including the reminder types and Regions you select.
Confirmation, preference-management, email-change, unsubscribe, delivery, and abuse-prevention information may also be processed as necessary to operate the reminder system reliably.
For up to seven days, recovery information in a preferences link may prefill your current email address to help you request a new link. It does not grant access to your preferences or send email automatically; you must explicitly request the new email.
Unsubscribing deletes your reminder subscription and its linked temporary delivery and preference-recovery records from our live database. Anonymous overall subscription counts remain. This does not delete separate listing-management or Event-contact records, email-provider records, or copies in your mailbox.
We use delivery notifications, temporary message identifiers and limited delivery counters to operate confirmations and reminders and handle delivery failures. Our application does not retain full delivery-webhook payloads or use email-open or link-click events. We do not use reminder activity to build an advertising profile.
Email-delivery systems and delivered copies in a recipient's mailbox have retention boundaries separate from Aviation Display Days' live operational database.
Transactional and Access Email
Aviation Display Days sends operational email for functions such as authentication, access invitations, submission receipts, and administrative notifications.
A third-party email delivery service receives the recipient address and message content necessary to deliver those messages.
Aviation Display Days' application email templates do not add advertising trackers or open-tracking pixels.
Our email delivery provider has confirmed that open and click tracking is off unless actively enabled for the sending domain or account. Our application does not request that tracking or use open/click events.
Links contained in email contact their destination when followed. Mail providers and security software may also inspect links as part of their own security processes.
Media and Photographs
Uploaded media may include photographs, filenames, captions, credits, rights information, and technical metadata needed to process and manage the media.
Original uploaded files are stored privately. Aviation Display Days may create processed versions for public display.
We retain information needed to document media rights, provenance, administrative actions, and disputes. Removing an image from current public presentation does not necessarily erase the historical rights or administrative record associated with it.
Previously delivered or cached public media may remain available temporarily in browser, network, or provider caches even after Aviation Display Days stops serving it as current content.
Third-Party Services
Aviation Display Days uses outside services where they provide necessary infrastructure or useful functionality. We do not identify every service provider here because providers and infrastructure can change without changing how Aviation Display Days uses your information.
Hosting, Security, and Infrastructure
Third-party infrastructure provides hosting, database, storage, security, challenge verification, media processing, and related services for AviationDisplayDays.com.
These services necessarily process network and request information required to deliver and protect the site. Security systems may use browser signals and essential security cookies.
Infrastructure-managed recovery systems may also retain recoverable database history for a limited provider-controlled period.
Email Delivery
Aviation Display Days uses our email delivery provider to send requested and operational messages.
Our email delivery provider receives recipient and sender information, the subject, message content and delivery information needed to provide that service. Message content can include security codes, links and attachments where present.
Our email delivery provider has confirmed that it does not sell or share customer email content, recipient information or delivery/engagement data for advertising or data-broker purposes, build advertising profiles from that data, or use that data to train AI/ML models.
Our email delivery provider has confirmed that it does not retain webhook event payloads independently of their underlying email record, and that its infrastructure, security and abuse logs contain the same information exposed in its Logs interface. These confirmations do not establish a deletion deadline for logs or backups.
Deleting a reminder subscription from Aviation Display Days does not itself request deletion of our email delivery provider's email records. Provider email records, logs and backup or recovery copies have separate retention and deletion rules. We do not promise that deleting an ADD subscription removes those copies or that they follow ADD's backup policy.
External Fonts
Some AviationDisplayDays.com pages currently obtain font resources from an external font service. Loading those resources causes the visitor's browser to contact that service and provide the network information necessary to return the font files.
Aviation Display Days does not add a visitor identifier to those font requests.
YouTube Contributions
Some Contributor content includes YouTube videos.
Aviation Display Days does not embed the YouTube video player. When a visible YouTube Contribution is displayed, the site may request limited video information and a thumbnail from YouTube infrastructure so the Contribution can be presented.
This can cause your browser to contact YouTube infrastructure before you choose to watch the video.
Selecting the video title takes you to YouTube, where that service's own privacy practices apply.
Maps, Organizer Websites, and Other Links
Directions, organizer websites, social-media profiles, support platforms, and similar external destinations are provided as ordinary links rather than embedded tracking widgets.
When you choose one of those links, your browser contacts that third party and its own privacy practices apply.
Retention
Different information has different operational purposes, so Aviation Display Days does not apply one universal retention period to every record.
Short-lived authentication information such as one-time access codes and sessions has limited validity.
Some operational information—such as Event contacts—may remain associated with the Event because it is needed for ongoing Event administration.
Administrative, editorial, authorization, rights, provenance, and security history may be retained for accountability and to preserve the integrity of Aviation Display Days records.
Unconfirmed reminder subscriptions and temporary subscriber security and delivery records become eligible for cleanup under defined expiry rules. Cleanup may be delayed by outages or processing backlogs, but expired credentials do not remain valid during that delay. Confirmed subscriptions remain until unsubscribed, administratively removed or removed under the permanent-bounce rules.
Third-party providers, delivered email, infrastructure recovery systems, and caches may have retention periods separate from Aviation Display Days' live operational records.
We aim to retain information according to its actual operational, security, historical, or legal purpose rather than collecting information simply because we can.
Infrastructure Recovery and Operational Copies
Aviation Display Days does not maintain a routine local copy of the production database merely for convenience.
Our infrastructure services may maintain recovery capabilities as part of the hosted database service. Provider-managed recovery information is separate from any temporary operational copies directly controlled by Aviation Display Days.
Where Aviation Display Days creates temporary operational copies for authorized maintenance, deployment verification, recovery, or similar purposes, those copies are treated as private operational data and are not intended as permanent archives.
